Tales Of A 4-5 Something

Today was our play. We worked on it for three weeks. The play was The Surprising Story Of The Three Little Pigs written by Lisa Daugherty. It was a fractured fairy tale mixing up The Three Little Pigs, The Three Bill Goats Gruff, Goldilocks And The Three Bears and Three Blind Mice. We added the Three Blind Mice and changed many other parts to make it work for us. The big idea of the story was that the characters in the play were bored or scared and they wanted to find other stories to be in. It was very fun and successful!  Grace, Raines, and Izzy 

In Writing Workshop we worked on poetry. We read a lot of poems and also tried to write our own. Here is one of mine: Piggles Laying.. Snoring triumphantly. Dreaming of Heeping platers of vegetables, towering over everything. Piggles would dig her teeth into the juicy carrots and... I feel it the place.. the place behind the ears.. the place that tingles when my owner tickles me there.. Then it happens.. I open my eyes.. I see a familiar figure.. A kind figure.. A soft gentle figure.. It is my owner tickling me bihind my ears. Just the way I like it. Violet
