Mystery Trip

Every year 4-5 goes on a Mystery Trip. The teachers don't give us hints and usually tells us wacky stories. Like this year they said we were going to Spain and the Museum of Wooden Things. We don't know where we're going until we get there. We liked what we did! We went on a trolley ride around Portland and then went to Fort Williams Park. We were there for 3  hours. We got to go in the old forts, play in the grass and on the rocks with our teachers, and watch the waves. Some of the rocks were very slippery some people slipped into the water. The next day we went in a buddy trip back to Fort Williams but this time we were in the children's garden and the pond was full of water. They were both REALLY FUN!! Lucy-Ellen

Poison Ball

Today in P.E. we played poison ball. It was very chaotic and most of us got out 9 or 10 times. Very few remained in the game the whole time. How you play is there are 8 omniken balls and 6 tumble mat walls. The mats act like shields or safe spots where you can try to get your hands on a ball to throw at someone. You could also just hide behind the mats. However, you can still get out in the safe spots behind mats. People sneak attack all the time. Almost everyone is trying to get a ball. The twist is you can only finger dribble a ball for 10 seconds and if you pick the ball up you can’t put it back down. You also can’t use the same ball right after you use it. The ball has to be handled by someone else until its not your “poison ball”. If you touch or get hit with your poison ball you have to go to the sidelines for 30 seconds but we played were you just can’t use your poison ball. Once you're out you have to wait to get back into the game until the person who got ...

Rock Painting

4-5 and K-1 students found rocks at home and brought them to school to paint for the Lower School Earth Day. All of us got to go to the Lower Field to paint them. We were all a little sad that we weren't allowed to keep the rocks but they look good. We were in the sun painting and playing. It was a fun start to Earth Day.  Elefe and Diego  this is elefe’s rock this is diego’s rock This is the rock river.
