I.P.’s are really fun to do and you learn a lot about your topic and other topics too. We learned how to take notes on our book as we read it. Then we learned how to put it together to make up a paper. We typed it up and the teachers helped us with edits. And then you present it in front of the class. Its really really fun. When you hear other IPs you get to learn about lots of things like places, animals, people, and other things. Once you get it done it feels so good and you get to watch people get the same feeling.

As a part of our I.P. project, we wrote letters to an expert on our topic so we could learn more information and to ask questions. Some of us got letters back but unfortunately some of us didn’t get them yet. Some of the people who did get letters back also got more helpful resources that we could put in our I.P.’s like a small book or diagram. These experts answered all the questions that we had. We got our letters back and it felt good to know that someone wanted to help us with our project. It was really nice to get a lot of information from someone who has studied our topic for a living.
