Every year in January we study a country, this year the country was Iceland. We also do some cooking as a home station each year. For this blog we decided to review some of the food we got to try. 5 stars means we liked it a lot and one star means we did not enjoy it. The recipes will be linked below the review.
Cabbage: JJ: ★ Emile: ★
We both didn’t really enjoy this dish because it was very tangy. The cinnamon was a little offsetting and overall it was pretty bland. The blueberries also made it little too sweet for cabbage.
Fish Chowder: JJ:★★★★ Emile:★★★★
We both liked this dish. It was a fairly thin stew with lots of delicious vegetables and fish.
Thunder Bread: JJ:★★★★★ Emile:★★★★

Thunder Bread: JJ:★★★★★ Emile:★★★★
This dish is a mouthwatering rich bread. It is sweet, healthy and dense. We both loved this bread and recommend it. We think it would be fun to make at home!
Yogurt Pie: JJ: ★★ Emile: ★★★
Yogurt Pie: JJ: ★★ Emile: ★★★
We both thought that this dish was fine but the yogurts consistency was a little strange for a pie. Overall the flavor was fine and the crust was quick and easy to make.
Global focus cooking is always so fun and this year was no different. We hope that you try out some of these recipes at home. Enjoy!
