There are three months and four weeks left in the school year and 4-5 is still buzzing with excitement. One of our newest projects is a Literature (LIT) project in which we are reading books in verse independently or in a group of 1-5. We get to choose! After we finish our books, we do something called a One Pager. One Pagers are like a poster with information about the book for fellow classmates to read and to learn about books they can pick up. The One Pagers must include the following things: Your name, title, the author's name, some of the poetic form(s) seen in the book, a rating (out of 5 stars), a summary (and some of us try writing it as a haiku, rhyming couplets or another poetic form we are learning about in writing), and at least one powerful or meaningful quote in the book. Right now Esther is working on a One Pager on the book “The Magical Imperfect”. 10/10 recommended. You should read it. William is reading Moo by Sharon Creech and is almost done.
In our homestation (Tim's), we have a large assortment of books in verse, like Starfish, Full Cicada Moon, Gone Fishing, Alone, Brown Girl Dreaming, Ben Bee and the Teacher Griefer and lots of other books.
Our lives are great, and yours should be to
