Last Saturday Rikki, the Lower School art teacher left to move to Colorado because her husband, Bob got a job opportunity there. So we had a c.m. for her (community meeting). She talked about here years here and then we gave here a present and cards. The present was a canvas bag with a picture of our community art project that we did at the beginning of the year. Each homestation made little cards with drawings on them and when we gave it to her, she was so happy to have something to remember us. But we have a new art teacher now named Chloe and we all can’t wait to see what she is like as an art teacher and start doing new things and techniques for different kinds of art.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Rikki's part in the Waynflete community! I can't imagine any better way to thank her than to give her a way to remember the work you all did with her. And also? What a good idea to give her something small. Do you think she put her cat inside the bag so she didn't take up any extra room in her tiny car?
